Ever Optimist

Let me share you a very inspirational saying story about old King in Africa which my African friend told.

A king had a close friend who had a habit of looking at every situation and remarks, 'Its good!'

One day the king and his friend were out on a hunting expedition. The friend would load and prepare the gun for the king and had apparently done something wrong that the king's thumb was blown off accidentally. In the situation, the king's friend remarked as usual, 'Its good!' To which the king replied angrily, 'No, It isn't!' and sent him to jail.

Later, the king was hunting alone. Cannibals captured him and took him to their village. They tied him, set up a stake and bound him to the stake. As they came near to set fire, they noticed that the king was missing a thumb. Being superstitious, they never ate anyone that was less than whole. So untying the king and sent him on his way.

On his returning home, a king was reminded of the event that had taken his thumb and felt remorse for his friend. He went immediately to the jail to speak with his friend. 'You were right, friend' he said, 'it was good that my thumb was blown off.' And he explained his friend all that had just happened. 'And so I am very sorry for sending you to jail for so long.'

'No,' his friend replied, 'Its good!' 'Its still good?What do you mean? Sending a friend to jail for a year is good, I can not understand!' the king said. "If I had not been in jail, I would have been with you, my king" ever optimist friend replied.
