Say 'thank you' instead of 'sorry'

The art of saying THANK YOU might not a new concept for you. Of course, it is a very natural art for me also. However, I recently realized that this art is quite powerful for empowering others after I have a thoughtful experience.

It was when I was in the Ph.D. preliminary class. I always come late to the Molecular Biology lecture class, and the professor even called me, 'Little late.'

Me: May I come in, professor?
Professor: Yes, you always late!
Me: Sorry for being late, professor.
Professor: It's Ok.

'Sorry' I apologized to the professor as usual.
'It's Ok' the professor said grumpily as usual.

One morning, I was come late as usual. But, the lecture wasn't started when I got into the classroom that morning. As I noticed that the professor didn't lecture the students, I immediately said, "thanks for waiting for me, professor." Then the professor replied with a smile"You are welcome. Let's start class now."

After that day, the professor never called me 'little late,' but still showed me a warmly greeting. This greeting eventually changed my habit of 'little late' to 'little early'

I learned how to say less, sorry, but thank you.๐Ÿ˜Š

The reason is simple.
'Words that empower you also empower others.

Well, let start saying thank you from now on!โ˜บ
